'Then the King will say to those on his right, 'Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.' 'Then the righteous will answer him, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?' 'The King will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.' - Matthew 25:34-40 (NIV)

We can be so busy in life that sometimes we forget to stop and look at the needs of others and take care of them. But these few years we have been able to serve breakfast at the Hope Faith Ministries on a monthly basis. I know many of us have spent Saturday mornings, getting up early and bringing the family down to cook in the hot kitchen, wash dishes, serve plates, sort clothes or just sit and chat with those we are serving. And I am sure, all would agree that for a few hours on a Saturday morning you truly feel blessed in giving not only to people who need help but also to our Lord, Jesus.

There is a sense of humility and satisfaction that comes about when you know you are living out your discipleship of Jesus while serving at Hope Faith Ministries (Click Here for a .PDF brochure). Serving with our family allows our children to see us live out our faith as well and makes Christianity more real and livable to them. Also, it is very heart moving when you see your children smile and give to those who are not usually served. It is definitely more blessed to give than receive.

We are looking forward to the upcoming year of serving breakfast together on the third Saturday of every month at Hope Faith ministries. Click on CALENDAR and then click on 'Project Helping Hand' for detailed date, time, location information.

Hope we see you there.
